Putin: State procurement from small cos to rise to 5 tln rbl 2024

MOSCOW, Oct 23 (PRIME) -- The combined amount of Russia’s state procurement from small businesses should rise to 5 trillion rubles in 2024 from 3 trillion rubles in 208, President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday at a forum of small and medium businesses organization Opora Rossii.

“Preliminary data show the figure of 3 trillion rubles this year. Now the corporation for development of small and medium entrepreneurs should set a new goal together with the businesses and drive the procurement figure to 5 trillion rubles by 2024. This is an achievable result,” he said.

Putin ordered to define a complete list of reports that small businesses have to provide in order for oversight authorities not to overburden small companies with reports.

He also suggested the government prolong a moratorium, which expires in December, on scheduled inspections of small businesses by federal oversight authorities for two more years.

Small and medium-sized businesses should raise their contribution to Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) to 30% in the next six years.

“We are to achieve the target of small and medium-sized businesses’ contribution to the country’s GDP above the threshold of 30% in the next six years, and continue growth to 40%, while the current contribution is at about 20%,” he said.
